((Lets see how far I can make LJ suffer? Again, this may be awkward on my part. Happy Valentines Day!))

As he treaded down the east wing's corridors, Zima juggled around the plans in his banks, reciting and revising every detail he could process. It wasn't like him to be this nervous. Actually, he didn't know it was possible to be so jumpy about a regular outing. This was Dita, his partner. The worst that could happen is if they weren't aloud out for the night at all. So what was eating at his CPU?

He arrived at the doorway, and following protocol, rapped on the door. A small shuffling came in response, followed by the door opening. The Director fiddled with his glasses as he greeted the persocom.

"Zima? What are you doing dressed in civilian clothes?"

"Good afternoon, Director." Zima bowed. "I would like to request a leave from this afternoon until eight at night."

The middle-aged man glanced at his watch before replying.

"What is your reason?"

Zima ruffled his hair again and looked at the shorter man's clipboard.

"I want to go on a date with Dita."

"A date?" The Director looked up in surprise and laughed, "With Dita? Does she know about this?"

"Not exactly," He admitted, deleting the moot annoyance he felt from the tone. None of that, now. He wanted the Director's approval, not a reason to be reformatted.

A few seconds passed by as the Director gathered his wits and responded with a smug smirk.

"Since we have some down time I don't see why not. If anybody questions you, tell them you are on a recon mission. Understood?"

"Understood." Zima confirmed, smiling. So far so good. Now to get Dita for this "mission".

...I wonder if this is okay. Since there is very little backstory to Zima, most of this comes from my head. This is what I get for picking side characters?

["20 Things you Didn't Know" About Zima]

He is the National Data Bank of Japan, which means that he is in charge of important and top secret files of the government. He is allowed full access to these files, but rarely ever does so unless instructed or it directly involves him, Dita, or persocoms in general. He also holds the profiles of anyone who has every remotely worked for the government.

Contrary to popular belief, he does indeed work diligently at his job-sorting files, constantly de-fragging his hard drive so his system doesn't lag, assuring that only authorized individuals access his data, and so on. He makes it look easy, but really, it's not.

Being a government persocom, and therefore, government property, some of the lab assistants treat him like glass, and others treat him...well, like a computer. He finds it slightly annoying, but won't comment about it. It's just how the world is sometimes. Instead, he concentrates his attention on the people who treat him like an intelligent being, and he is grateful for them.

Ichiro Mihara was the head director of the team who designed Zima. Oddly enough. Dr. Mihara never touched a single line of code within his system. He did, however, "correct" his team whenever they were stuck on working out the bugs, thus enabling Zima his morality and personality AI. Zima didn't get to meet Dr. Mihara until the first "test run" began.

Zima and Dita are the only persocoms with systems close enough to rival the Chobits series. And they are only that close for the specific purpose of stopping the Chobits line. They still have a large margin of error in both programming and physical design.

That being said, Zima sometimes wonders if they could have become friends with Elda and Freya. They might have learned something from each other.

Zima has never been out of the major city. He doubts that headquarters would send him any farther than the suburban border. One day he would like to visit the countryside, or the ocean. He has a fondness for large and open spaces.

The fact that him and his partner have to camp out on skyscraper rooftops during missions attributes to it. Unless extreme weather conditions make it unpleasant.

Headquarters was generous enough to give him his own room. It's small, containing only a cot, an embedded computer screen in the wall, and a fold-up chair. The walls are an off-white, and the only indication of liveliness is the discarded cables on the corner of the room.

The first time he saw Dita was the first time he smiled and meant it. No one will ever know.

Although his databank is filled with priceless information, Zima lacks some of the most obvious knowledge to everyday life. Blame it on being confined to a lab for the majority of his being.

Missions? Why yes, he does receive missions outside of the lab. Most of them are either recon or technology related crime schemes. One of the most important missions was stopping a highly dangerous program from destroying every persocoms' individual recognition program.

He is actually working on making an anti-virus program with Dita's experience and current program data. It wouldn't be nearly as good as her, but at least she wouldn't have to worry so much about smaller break-ins.

Zima can be rather charming at times. He hands out compliments when deserved, and generally would like to know people better. He also can be stubborn, and in rare cases, possessive.

Zima disappeared for two weeks before joining DramaDramaDuck. He actually snuck off into a hacker's threshold. There he learned several methods of cracking systems, under the tutelage of an anonymous white hat, despite being a persocom. His reasoning behind it has yet to be discovered.

Few things ever make him angry. They include: unjustified and extreme violence towards persocoms, unfit higher authorities, and any intentional harm to Dita. When he does get angry, he doesn't yell, raise his voice, or lash out. It's that chilling type of anger, silent and dangerous. You don't ever want Zima angry.

It doesn't matter if he's just another piece of machinery; even if it is only code determining his emotions, those emotions still came from inside him. He believes this wholeheartedly, and unless someone has a mindblowingly convincing counter-argument, he will not stray from this ideal.

Ironically, Zima has a fondness for nature. The park is the closest representation he can get of the countryside, but he enjoys watching the pigeons and squirrels hunt for food. He also enjoys watching the sky from time to time, especially on a clear night. Tokyo's lights make it hard to see clearly, but it doesn't deter him. He downloaded the position and time of every noticeable constellation in his memory banks.

Zima has the habit of doing reckless tasks, sometimes putting his objectives before his own welfare. No, the government does not know about any of his reckless adventures. He plans to keep it that way.

It is a goal and his ultimate wish for persocoms to know the feeling of happiness. The incident with Freya and Chii re-affirmed his beliefs, and he sincerely hopes that one day persocoms can experience such intense emotions.

...but what would make him the happiest is for Dita to admit her true feelings. He wants to make her happy, so much sometimes that it's painful. It also causes him to tease her daily.

So I put one more in. This is surprisingly longer than I thought it would be...

It's been busy the past few days. Ever since we've gone back to headquarters, the lab assistants and programmers have been scrambling around doing last-minute checks on all the important facilities and their 'coms from the recent happenings. My server has been loaded with all the information they could find about Dr. Mihara's research, along with all the current updates they've been doing to my system. It's tough being a government databank, you know?

...Well, perhaps not.

Does anybody know what's been bothering Dita lately? She's rather jumpy for being back at the lab. Something about bones and virgins?

The city bustled underneath as always, oblivious to the government persocoms hopping on the rooftops. It looked like an average winter day.

She was hot in this weather? It was below freezing!

He spent the hour running back to Dita's location signal. Her moving signature.
Just thought I'd have a post for my contact info and such! I'm up to pretty much anything, RP, random chat, plots or explanations.

Actually it would help me alot if you comment on how I'm playing the character. I know I need to work on staying IC, so any suggestions or critisism would be greatly appreciated!

AIM: nyunekochan
email: kittyneko@gmail.com OR nyuneko@yahoo.com

Or you can just post a comment here and I'll get back to you ^_^

The quick rundown of Zima: Zima is a government issued persocom created to be the National Data Bank of Japan. That being said, he's important. VERY IMPORTANT. Important enough to give him a persocom partner to be his firewall/counter-cracker/anti-virus person/girlfriend, named Dita. It is also said that they were created to stop Chi's special program from happening--meaning that the government most likely gives them specific missions apart from him sitting around and process data all day.

But what's a persocom? : A Persocom is basically a very fancy and expensive computer with a human form. They can check your emails, they can play your video games, they can do everything a computer can do, and more! In fact, Chobits constantly demonstrates persocoms as the perfect employees, best companions, and even good <strike>porn stars</strike> entertainers. Usually persocoms are easily disinguished by their ear ports, where they keep their input/output cables and power switches.

Personality: Zima's laid back, calm, and always thinking about something. He's the type to sit back and enjoy life, and take things in stride. He's patient too. And boy, does he know how to stall. Zima tends to want to learn about everything, take in his surroundings, and study it. He does his job, but if there's something he's particularly interested in, he tries to fully explore the possibilities and outcomes. It's a dangerous habit in his line of work. He might get reckless with his actions once and a while too.

He also loves to tease his partner. I think it's his hobby.

History??: Not much about Zima's history. All we know is that both Dita and Zima are from the government, and that they've apparently been through Chi's special program before. I've been trying to go off of the snippets and hints CLAMP threw in, but none of it is hard-cut proof.

Anything else: Zima loves Dita. He calls her "love" at times, teases her nicely "I wasn't thinking about anything. You're just so damn cute that I 'bout lost my balance"  And tried to make her confess  at the end. So he's off limits ;_;
